The seminar will be a brief overview of deep learning techniques for semantic segmentation of images. Then, it will show a use case of deep learning usage for semantic segmentation of ischemic stroke lesions using 3D MRI data.

Miguel Monteiro has bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the University of Lisbon. In 2016, he obtained a double master's degree in EECS from the University of Lisbon and the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm (KTH).
